Excerpt from Sura 74, “The hidden Secret”

﴾74:30﴿ Over it is nineteen. ﴾74:31﴿ We appointed angels to be guardians of Hell, and we assigned their number (19) (1) to disturb the disbelievers, (2) to convince the Christians and Jews (that this is a divine scripture), (3) to strengthen the faith of the faithful, (4) to remove all traces of doubt from the hearts of Christians, Jews, as well as the believers, and (5) to expose those who harbor doubt in their hearts, and the disbelievers; they will say, "What did GOD mean by this allegory?" GOD thus sends astray whomever He wills, and guides whomever He wills. None knows the soldiers of your Lord except He. This is a reminder for the people. ﴾74:32﴿ Absolutely, (I swear) by the moon. ﴾74:33﴿ And the night as it passes. ﴾74:34﴿ And the morning as it shines. ﴾74:35﴿ This is one of the great miracles. ﴾74:36﴿ A warning to the human race.  ﴾74:37﴿ For those among you who wish to advance, or regress.

This article will attempt to explain what is a very simple to understand -yet impossible to imitate- “hidden” mathematical system in the Quran. It will, God willing, shed more light regarding the true meaning of verses 74:30-36 of the Quran and their allegorical meaning. 361 is multiple meaning. In addition to this present study, a separate article is, for obvious reasons, entirely dedicated to the crucial issue of trinity (“361 and trinity). This website was published on 31/01/2009 exactly 19 years -day for day- after Rashad Khalifa’s assassination by fundamentalist Muslims. Rashad is the one who was blessed with unveiling the miracle of 19. Since then, the world has kept on rejecting or ignoring it, as well as its profound implications. I pray God this article will help people from all religions and belief systems to understand that Quran is indeed God’s Word and that it is destined to lay the foundation for peace and happiness in this world.

Important note: If you are not familiar with the basics of the miracle of 19 and what a “Gematrical Value” (GV) is, you must read the short introduction on this website entitled “miracle of 19”.

Methodology:

Let us select all verses double multiple of 19 (361 = 19x19) from the beginning of the Quran until the end, thus creating a sub-system of the Quran with verses double multiple of 19. We start counting with the Bismillah (verse 1:1) and we count all numbered verses in the Quran, therefore excluding all unnumbered Bismillahs. We select the 361^st (19x19) verse, then the 722^nd (19x19x2), then the 1083^rd (19x19x3), and so on…until the very last double multiple of 19 allowed by the numbering system of the Quran. Once verses are selected, we calculate the Gematrical Value (GV) of every verse and calculate the grand total.

Definition of a Gematrical Value: A number (or Gematrical Value) is assigned to every letter of the Arabic alphabet (see the GV table in the section “miracle of 19” on the website).

1.2 10:82, A major mathematical sign

1.2.1 Gematrical value of 10:82

► From the above facts, it appears that the addition of gematrical values (specifically) of verses seems to be the primary foundation of a system based on verses spaced every 361 (19x19) verses. In the entire 34 verses forming the 361 system, only one individual verse has its gematrical value multiple of 19:

Comment: All along this study, it will become increasingly clear that verse 10:82 is the key verse of the 361 system. The implications of this one verse are extremely profound not only in the 34 verses of the 361 system itself, but also in related sub-systems of the Quran as we will witness. The fact it is the only gematrical value multiple of 19 in the 361 system is simply the first indicator to it.

1.2.2  10:82: Quranic context of the verse

﴾10:76﴿ When the truth came to them from us, they said, "This is obviously magic!" ﴾10:77﴿ Moses said, "Is this how you describe the truth when it comes to you? Is this magic? How can any magicians prevail?" ﴾10:78﴿ They said, "Did you come to divert us from what we found our parents doing, and to attain positions of prominence for yourselves? We will never join you as believers." ﴾10:79﴿ Pharaoh said, "Bring to me every experienced magician." ﴾10:80﴿ When the magicians came, Moses said to them, "Throw whatever you are going to throw." ﴾10:81﴿ When they threw, Moses said, "What you have produced is magic, and GOD will make it fail. GOD does not support the transgressors' work." ﴾10:82﴿ GOD establishes the truth with His Word, despite the criminals.

This is the story of Moses where Pharaoh had summoned every experienced magician in his kingdom to try to produce a miracle similar to the one Moses had performed (by God’s grace) when he his staff turned into a giant snake. The magicians performed magic but Moses threw his staff again, and the snake “swallowed” the magic (fabrication) performed by the illusionists. We are going to witness with our own eyes later in this article how God’s miracle (the miracle of 19) is going to swallow falsehood in a fashion very similar to the snake which swallowed the magicians’ illusions and lies.

Let us select Quranic verses where Moses’ staff actually swallows the fabrications:

﴾7:117﴿ We then inspired Moses: "Throw down your staff," whereupon it swallowed whatever they fabricated.

﴾26:45﴿ Moses threw his staff, whereupon it swallowed what they fabricated.

► The gematrical value (in both verses) of the key expression “whereupon it swallowed whatever they fabricated” Is 1615 = 19 x 85. This is what the miracle of 19 does: it swallows all kinds of fabrications. It is also noteworthy that verse 10:82 occurs in sura Jonah, who was swallowed by the giant fish when he refused to accomplish his prophetic mission.

1.2.3 The sign of 826

► The most profound expression “GOD establishes the truth with His Word” (10:82) occurs in the first (the most obvious) 361 system (17 verses, normal order of the Quran):

► The total gematrical values of the 361 system (normal order) are 59109 = 19 x 3111, and this most profound 17 verses system has 826 letters. The gematrical value of “GOD establishes the truth with His Word” is also 826, and we know the entire verse 10:82 is the only gematrical value multiple of 19 in the entire 361 system (19x77).

Note: 826 is also the gematrical value of two verses in the Quran (37:170 & 69:39) both of which warn of a terrible retribution people who will reject the messengers. 

► Let us select all verses multiples of 826 among numbered verses of the Quran (the 826^th verse since the beginning (1:1), then the 826x2 = 1652^nd verse, then the 826x3 = 2478^th verse...until the end of the Quran):

1.2.4 Is the Quran God’s Word?

► The gematrical value of “al Quran” (The Quran) is 383 which is the 76^th prime number (76 = 19x4).

► The word “Quran” (قرءان, GV 352) occurs 58 times (with or without the article “al”) in the Quran.  57 times (19x3) it refers to God’s Quran. One time it refers to “another Quran” (10:15) or a Quran that people who reject the truth would like to see “changed”, or corrupted.

Note: The gematrical value of “The Quran” (GV 383, 76^th prime number). Is There a correspondence with the 383^rd and 76^th word God in the Quran? I find it interesting that the 383^rd word God (3:103) tells us to hold fast to “the rope of God” (Quran), and the 76^th word God (read 2:119-121) warns the messenger not to follow the wishes of people who reject “God’s guidance” (the Quran). The 352^nd (GV Quran without the article “Al”) word God (3:73) again repeats that “God’s guidance is the true guidance” and asks us to tell people who claim they have the same guidance that “all grace is in God’s hand”.

► Let us now add the gematrical value of the word “Quran” written as it refers to God’s Quran 57 times (19x3) in the last revelation (GV 352, without the article “Al” or “The”) and the gematrical value of “God establishes the truth with His word” (GV 826):

► The gematrical value of “the Quran” (with the article Al) in Arabic is 383. If we add the gematrical value of “the Quran” to verse 10:82 we get:

At this point, this may be a coincidence. But since the 361 system seems to be based on 19, let’s see if we find the word “Quran” in the 34 verses of our system and - if so - if it would follow the same rules and architecture witnessed so far.

1.2.5  361 and Quran

► The word Quran occurs twice, and only in the first 361 system in the normal order of Quran:

► Fact: Both letters and gematrical values are multiple of 19. This sub-system follows the same very impressive pattern as the entire 361 system: the total gematrical values are multiple of 19. Therefore, further dividing verses with and without the word “Quran”, generates again two separate symmetrical sub-groups multiple of 19 in the 361 system, in the regular order of the Quran. The reverse system does not contain the word “Quran”, but both systems (normal order and reverse order) are also one main system following the same pattern, and the same symmetry “verses with and without Quran” is also valid in the entire 34 verses double multiple of 19.

Comment: There is a very logical explanation and sign why only the first 17 verse system (normal order of Quran) contains the word Quran: it is the system where we find the key expression “God establishes the truth with His Word”. God’s Word is Quran.

1.2.6  361: God and Quran

► Muslims believe Quran is “God’s Word”. Let’s keep on following the same rule and let us separate all verses where God and Quran are found in the entire 34 verses of the 361 (19x19) system (normal order + reverse):

► Fact: Since the gematrical values of verses with God and Quran are separately multiple of 19, it is no surprise that the addition is going to generate a multiple of 19. Still, the following profound fact cannot escape notice:

► In the entire 361 system, the word God (GV 66) occurs 12 times, and the word Quran (GV 383) occurs twice:

(66x12) + (383x2) = 1558 = 19 x 82

► From the key verse 10:82 until the first word Quran let us select both verses with and without God:

► Fact: The grand total of gematrical values are multiple of 19. Table 10 again displays the profound relationship between God and Quran. God establishes the truth with His Word, the Quran.

Note: Even the worst opponents of Islam will not dare to claim the words “God” and “Quran” are unimportant words picked randomly for the sole purpose of generating baseless multiple of 19. Try any other combination of words in the 361 system, (a number of them have been tried so far), it seems so far that it is very specifically God and Quran that are coded with 19. As a matter of fact, it is self evident to say that the 361 system is very simply built in Quran. 361 is one of the many elements which provide a profound and unshakable foundation to the Word of God. “God” occurs 2698 times in Quran (19x142); “Quran”, referring to God, occurs …57 times (19x3) in the entire Quran, another “coincidence”? This 361 relationship seems to stress the fact that God is the author of Quran (10:37).

1.3 361: Recapitulation

► For people who have eyes to see, this fact alone cannot simply be a coincidence.

Note: the word “Quran” does not occur in 361 reverse.

► Fact: The gematrical value of the 34 verses comprised in the entire 361 system is the combination of two prime numbers (19 and 6203).

► The gematrical value of all verses with God in the entire 361 systems is 43643 = 19x2297.

► Fact: Again number 19 is associated with a prime number: Number 2297 is the 342^nd prime number, 19x18.

Remark: Since we are specifically dealing here with the gematrical values of verses where “God” occurs, and 2297 is the 342^nd prime number. I wonder if there is a hidden connection with the fact that the 342^nd word God (19x18) in the Quran occurs in verse 3:61? The GV of verse 3:61 is 5510 = 19x290. Verse 3:61 is one of the two verses which led to the discovery of the 361 (double multiple of 19) system.

﴾3:61﴿ If anyone argues with you, despite the knowledge you have received, then say, "Let us summon our children and your children, our women and your women, ourselves and yourselves, then let us invoke GOD's (342^nd occurrence) curse upon the liars."

☞ The critical meaning of verse 3:61 is discussed in “361, trinity exposed”.

► The end of the 361 system reverse (the 19x19x17^th verse from the end of Quran) happens to be the 98^th verse of Quran (2:91). 98 is the gematrical value of the word “the proof” (sura 98 is entitled the proof), which occurs 19 times in Quran, the 19^th occurrence being in sura 98. Sura 19 has 98 verses, because 19 is the proof of the Quran.

﴾2:91﴿ When they are told, "You shall believe in these revelations of GOD" (Quran), they say, "We believe only in what was sent down to us." Thus, they disbelieve in subsequent revelations, even if it is the truth from their Lord, and even though it confirms what they have! Say, "Why then did you kill GOD's prophets, if you were believers?".

► Similarly, the last verse of the 361 system following the normal order of Quran (99:1) is the 98^th verse from the end of Quran:

﴾99:1﴿ When the earth is severely quaked.

This is the beginning of the end of the world. It is hard not to mention that the last verse of sura 19 also refers to human disasters including the end of the world:

﴾19:98﴿ Many a generation before them we annihilated; can you perceive any of them, or hear from them any sound?

1.4 The crucial importance of sura 19.

The 361 system intersects only once with sura 19, in the 361 system reverse:

Let us establish a table with verses in the reverse system up to the verse in sura 19. We start counting verses from the end of Quran:

► Fact: Just like the sub-group involving the word “Quran”, both letters and total gematrical values are multiple of 19! We will see in the article “361: trinity exposed” the reason why the 361 system intersects precisely with 19:16 and the secret relationship with another miraculous sub-system of the Quran pointing at the true identity of Jesus: son of God or son of Mary?

1.5 361 and prime number list

► Let us select in the Quran all verses which are prime numbers in the Quran. There are 811 such verses in the Quran. The first verse will be verse two of the Quran (2 is the first prime number), then verses number 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 19, 23…until verse 6229, the 811^th and last prime number allowed in the Quran. From these 811 verses selected, let us build a system similar to the 361 system by selected the 361^st (19x19) and 722^nd (19x19x2) verses:

We first select the 2437^th verse of the Quran (2437 is the 361^st prime number), then the 5471^st verse (5471 is the 722^nd prime number, 722 = 19x19x2). We then get the following table:

► Fact: We witness the fact that specifically the total gematrical values are multiple of 19.

﴾41:53﴿ We will show them our proofs in the horizons, and within themselves, until they realize that this is the truth. Is your Lord not sufficient as a witness of everything?

Part 2: 361, what can we say?

2.1 Statistics:

To calculate correctly a statistical event, one cannot compare apples with oranges. Since the exact same system is consistently used in the design of the four related 361 Quranic sub-systems (in the 361 system, gematrical values are multiple of 19), we are comparing apples with apples, and it is easy to calculate the odds multiples of 19 would have occurred by accident.

Fact: To keep it as simple as possible, Let us focus solely on the fact that the gematrical values of verses with and without God are all multiple of 19 in the 361 system in the normal order and reverse order of the Quran. There are four sub-systems (included in one 34 verses system) following the same pattern (gematrical values are multiple of 19 in all four systems):

Statistical facts:

Statistically, there is exactly one chance out of 130321 that such a system would have occurred by chance. Roll a perfectly symmetrical 19 sided dice and you will have one chance out of 130321 to get number 19 four times in a row like we have just witnessed. This without even computing the most profound fact that when we subtract the total gematrical values from the first and second 361 system (normal order and reverse system) we get 59109 – 58748 = 361. If we do, the more realistic statistics become, if we remain very conservative, 19 x 19 x 19 x 19 x 19 = 2,476,099, or about one chance in 2.5 millions.

2.2 Is this statistical event easy to duplicate?

If we searched in a national library for books that would provide such a system by chance, you would first have to find books with the following criteria:

► 1. The books selected would have to be designed with clearly separated verses, or verses would have to be numbered to be able to count verses double multiple of 19, This would discard most books right away.

► 2. You would have to find books in a language with a universally accepted gematrical value system, like Arabic or Hebrew; this again would discard most books ever written.

► 3. The books would have to be somewhat religious and mention the word “God” to be able to make the difference between verses with and without “God”.

► 4. Once you find such books, an average of only one out of 130321 books would statistically provide such a symmetrical system.

Crucial Question:

Let us assume we do find one or a few such books, how many of those books would have a verse specifically proclaiming “Over it is 19”, like sura 74 verse 30 of the Quran, thus displaying a clear intent (not just a mere coincidence) to code Quran with number 19?

☞ Isn’t it fair to say that except potentially for previous revelations from God, it is 100% impossible any book ever written would gather all the above conditions and indicate at the same time a clear intent the book is coded with 19?

2.3 Gematrical values:

► Calculating and keeping track manually of a gematrical value system in a book is a very difficult and very time consuming task, virtually impossible to achieve without a computer or calculator in such a voluminous book like Quran, especially if you want to avoid mistakes. Quran was revealed in 610, in a period of scientific ignorance. The miracle of 19 requires knowledge of multiplication and division. Such knowledge wasn’t available in the Islamic world before the research of Al-Khwārizmī (780-850), two centuries after Muhammad’s death.

2.4 Chronological Sequence of Revelation

► Even more extreme is the fact that Quran was initially revealed in a completely different order of suras, called the Chronological Sequence of Revelation (CSR). Suras (chapters) were revealed chronologically mainly to fit with and respond to specific upcoming issues and events in the new Islamic community (dealing with laws, sins, errors of the prophet, ongoing wars…). The angel Gabriel then gave instructions to Muhammad that the sequence of suras in Quran would have to be totally reorganized according to a final structure that allows us today to witness great mathematical wonders. The final reorganization of Quran occurred 19 years after Muhammad’s death (read appendix 24 of Rashad Khalifa’s translation).

2.5 Mathematical coding and literary excellence:

► Muslims believe Quran is the ultimate literary masterpiece ever witnessed in the history of mankind, together with previous revelations of God. The miraculous mathematical foundation of Quran does not take away anything from its literary excellence. A profound challenge.

Could Muhammad in the middle of the desert have designed such a statistical wonder and literary masterpiece? Why would he have even bothered (if he could) when only a computer age generation would have been able to witness such a phenomenon? Without at least a computer and software that calculates gematrical values automatically, it is virtually impossible to witness such a miracle. 

2.6 The hidden secret:

► The 361 system is a good example why the miracle of 19 is called in sura 74 (the only sura where 19 is mentioned in letters) the “Hidden Secret”. It is not obvious: You need a computer, meditation and research to unveil and understand the miraculous structure. It is not for no reason that it took exactly 1406 lunar years (19x74) after the revelation of Quran to unveil it. In other words Rashad Khalifa made the momentous discovery of the miracle of 19 in 1974.

2.7 How well preserved is Quran?

► ”361” also provides a snapshot of how well preserved Quran is, even if we know some very rare letters are still to be purified in the Quran. With such a system (361) we know for sure that the 34 verses involved in this Quranic design are perfectly preserved letter for letter (100.00%). Otherwise the system would collapse like a house of cards.

2.8 Hafs versus Warsh:

Final mathematical confirmation of the Quranic numbering system

► Several slightly different versions of the Quran are in circulation around the world. They differ regarding minor orthographic differences and how verses of the Quran should be numbered (most suras are numbered very differently in Warsh). The Hafs and Warsh versions are the most widely accepted, even though Hafs is by far the most common. If you want to know if your Quran is a Hafs or Warsh version, answer this simple question: Is the “Bismillah”, the first verse of the Quran numbered or not. If the Bismillah is numbered it is Hafs. If it is not it is Warsh.

The 361 systems confirm mathematically that the Hafs numbering system is from God (except for a very significant issue which will be addressed in the next section).

Warsh and other versions are corruptions of the Word of God. There is always only one truth, and the miracle of 19 confirms the truth:

● Since only numbered verses are involved in the count in the 361 system, verse 1 of sura 1 is the 19 lettered “Bismillah”. The ongoing debate whether it should be numbered or not is now solved.

● 361 confirms also the entire sura-verse numbering system: with a count involving both the regular order of Quran, and reverse order as well.

Profound fact:

If any sura or verse had been incorrectly numbered, other verses would have been selected, and we would not have witnessed the cluster of multiples of 19 in “361”.

2.9 God’s version versus Hafs version:

9:128-129, The end of a historic lie

► There is one major difference between the Hafs version and the version acknowledged by the 361 miracle (God’s version): the issue of verses 9:128-129, two verses historically doubtful (read appendix 24 of Rashad Khalifa’s translation). 

This is, God willing, going to rock the Muslim world:  

A most profound fact:

☞ If you include 9:128-129 in the Quran, the 361 system and mathematical symmetry would collapse like a house of cards; the miracle would remain hidden in the Quran:

● If you include 9:128-129 in the Quran, building the same 361 system, the total gematrical value for the new system and new verses selected (regular order of Quran) would be 52849, not a multiple of 19.

● If you build the same 361 system in reverse taking into account 9:128-129, the grand total of gematrical values is 63589, again not a multiple of 19. 

● Let us add up the gematrical values of all 34 verses both normal order + reverse order of the Quran, to see if the addition of both system would generate a multiple of 19:

☞ On the one hand without 9:128-129 we have a very significant miraculous symmetry and pattern with four successive intertwined beautifully designed multiples of 19; on the other hand, with the false verses you have zero symmetry, zero system, and zero multiple of 19. Which one is from God? This is how God establishes the truth with His word (10:82).

Note: We are about to witness in this study many more examples how 9:128-129 are destroyed by the miracle of 19 and 361, and how, in a profound manner, Quran points at the name of their actual author.

● With 361, we have a perfect example why any addition or deletion of any sura, verse, word, or even a single letter always falls within a cluster of miraculous mathematical properties of the Quran: any “change” is therefore always exposed. 361 bears witness to it.

2.10 361 and the Bismillah

► We have to bear in mind that once we rely on a Quranic structure without 9:128-129, not only do we witness the 361 system, but the frequency of each and every four words of the Bismillah (Name + God + Gracious + Merciful = 19 letters) all of a sudden becomes miraculously multiple of 19 in the Quran:

► Fact: The 19 lettered Bismillah is the primary foundation of the mathematical miracle of 19 and the combined frequency of the four words of the Bismillah speaks for itself:

☞ With the two false verses, only “Name” and “Gracious” are multiple of 19. This fact alone says it all: Everything “clicks” without the false verses. The odds that the above described “Bismillah” system would have occurred by chance are:

The frequency of each of the four words is multiple of 19 (19x19x19x19). The addition of the factors combined with 19 is also 152 (19x8). Therefore there is one chance out of 2,476,099 (almost two and half million) such a system would occur by chance.

2.11 361 and Words count in Quran

► The way the four words of the Bismillah are to be counted in the Quran has been criticized by people who deny the evidence of the miracle of 19: Only the pure form of words (for example without plural forms or any possessive attached) are to be counted to be able to visualize the miracle regarding the Bismillah and other words. Even though the count method is totally systematic, some people still claim words in Quran should be counted a different way, disregarding the fact results and related statistics acknowledge a clear miraculous design. 361 shuts down such people’s claims forever and exposes their true colors: whatever they say, the gematrical value count confirms the mathematical miracle of 19 regardless of any type of word count. And let’s say they tried to claim the way gematrical values are to be calculated is wrong, they would then face an insurmountable statistical challenge and simply expose even further their true intentions.

2.12 361: Final Mathematical confirmation of the entire gematrical value system

► On the contrary, the 361 system confirms forever how every letter and how every form of Arabic letters is to be calculated. If any letter or letter form in the gematrical value system were to be calculated differently, the statistical miracle would collapse.
